In a sermon, perhaps coin the expression, "Holly Day," to describe the secular Christmas (it's probably been done before, but who knows?).  That way, we could go back to using the word "holiday" as it was originally intended, to mean "holy day."

What is it that makes a day - that makes time - holy?  We need to make space for the sacred in our lives (which is why we have church buildings), but we also need to make time for it.

How will we make time holy this Christmas?
